Welcome to Kindergarten Karlie

Our kindergartner going to the bus stopSisters were excited for Karlie to head to school, but missed her all day!

The five of us walked Karlie to the bus stop!

She didn"t shed a tear, she was smiling from ear to ear, "when's the bus coming, when's the bus coming!!!!"

My girls!

Goodbye Karlie, see you in the afternoon!

Headin' to school!

Cecelia, Claire and Ella waiting for Karlie to get off the bus!

Here she comes!!!

So happy to be home, but she told me "Mom I could've stayed longer"

Karlies first official day of school was a MAJOR sucess! I, being the Mother of a first kindergartner, was more sensitive the past few days than I have been in a long time! No tears from Karlie, which we expected by the way she has been talking all summer about kindergarten! I was more nervous about the bus situation than her actually being at school. Karlies bus goes right to West Elementary to school, but when the come home they stop at Park elementary on one bus and have to change buses to go home from Park. They assured us at orientation yesterday, that they were in good hands and teachers are all over to help! Each student also wears a bus tag for the first few weeks with thier bus numbers on them, so that is a BIG help!!! Her highlights of the day were, going outside 2 times on the playground, meeting 4 new friends, one of which loved her hair today, eating her cold lunch from home, tomorrow she is going to try Italian dunkers from school and seeing her best friends in the hallway, Kelby and Jillian! She also read a story about Chester the Racoon who was scared on his first day of school! She is excited to return tomorrow for a full day! We couldn't be more proud of how brave she has been through all of this! You are the light of our lives Karlie!
