Girls waiting patiently for Great Pa to blow out his candles
Blowing out his 5 candles, we couldn't put 80 on there! :)
This is one of my favorite pictures of my grandparents with thier granddaughters!On Monday Karlie and Claire had a "playdate" with Great Pa and Great Nama when Avery and I were at her doctors appt. They were talking about it the previous weekend nonstop and wanted to give him the coconut pie we made for him and when we got there it was like Mom didn't exsist! They were bound and determined to get there as soon as they could. Great Grandma taught them how to boil an egg and after decorated them with food coloring, they helped snap ends off of green beans and clean them, played the piano and fed the squirrl. Grandma had them very busy and boy were they exhausted when the finally got home! Grandpa loved his pie and of course the girls got to sing "Happy Birthday". It was special for the girls and I to celebrate with him for his 80th birthday, even though its really not until tomorrow, the 12th! We are so fortunate that he has been in this world for 80 years, we love you Great Pa!
