Avery's Hospital Visit

She had an IV in her leg and the pink things on her arm were collecting sweat for her sweat test that tests for Cystic Fibrosis

She was really tired that day with being poked and proded by millions of people

The emotional Mom rocking her baby to sleep after having an ultrasound of her liver and her X-rays, that was not very pleasant!

I am getting better!!!! First full day in the hospital

Her nurse wanted to hold her really bad and Avery gave her a big smile, the docters and nurses were ALL excellent and took great care of us! (I think this nurse looks like Hannah Mancina!!!)

Ready to go home, we were thrilled and she was tired! Notice how chunky she looks, she gained almost a whole pound the 2 days she was in the hospital.

The night we came home, we all just needed her home and missed her so much!

Well, what a whirlwind of a week! Axery's home and is a whole new little girl. Her symptoms are gone, the diaper rash went from raw and beet red to a wonderful clear skinned little but, her smelly stools and gas are nothing now and she is gaining weight, up to almost 9 pounds and was 8.3 on Tuesday morning. She has been smiling up a storm and is so content (she was pretty fussy for about a week, due to her sore butt). She will have a check-up on Monday at the clinic here in Hutch and then on May 4th she will have a check-up at the GI doc at Children's. We have been so blessed and fortunate that this visit didn't turn into something worse. We have quite a few angels watching over us and we really appreciate the calls, support, prayers and to our great friends who were generous enough to watch the older girls for us! We love you guys so much! We are so lucky!
