My First 2 Teeth Came Out!!!!

All I want for Christmas is my 2 front teeth...

Good grief, the tooth fairy was good to me for losing my first teeth!

Well, it happened, maybe a little too early, but Karlie has her two bottom front baby teeth out! We noticed about a month ago that her adult tooth was popping through behind those 2 bottom front teeth. Mom, Karlie and Claire had a scheduled 6 month appt. last Wednesday, so we thought we would wait and see what Dr. Lyke said. I had asked our dentist friend, Josh, what he thought and he said that she probably won't need them pulled and the would just fall out. Well, that wasn't the case (each dentist has different opinions), so we had to go back that afternoon to get the 2 teeth pulled. The teeth needed to be pulled out asap so the adult tooth has every chance to pull forward and straighten. Karlie had a shot of novacaine, I was so prooud of her, she was our brave girl and it took literally about 2 seconds for them to be pulled (they were a little loose to begin with). She was very happy to bring them home in the special "tooth case" and give them to the tooth fairy! Well, come to find out, we lost the 2 teeth somewhere in our living room leather chair, we looked and looked, so we had to write a letter to the tooth fairy telling her what happened. Karlie was VERY concerned that she wouldn't come. Next morning, boy she was beaming from lost tooth, to lost tooth, with $10 from the tooth fairy!!!! I know, the tooth fairy (aka Dad) got a little carried away while Mom was out by the fire that night! Its a special time for her, so that was just fine! Congrats to our Karlie for loosing her first teeth!
